During a short term contract as a freelance Creative Director I worked with Manchester based Howe Design, a specialist packaging design company who were going through a few problems and needed some quick, cost effective solutions.
Straight away I started redesigning their brand and started re-launching the business and along with the design team designed various pieces of marketing material to promote their specialist services to potential packaging clients.
One area was to return to direct mail as at the time this had been ignored – emails were taking over. So a tall leaflet design was an effective approach – the envelope it was posted out in stood out from others because it was long and thin. Also using traditional post meant it certainly didn’t get stuck in a clients spam folder.
The result was more than 75% increase in new business for the Agency, from a simple print solution and a nice clean design approach.
